BEFORE YOU HIRE THE CONTRACTOR

STEP ONE
GET A LEAST THREE BIDS. PLEASE TALK WITH A LEAST THREE OF OUR CONTRACTORS.



STEP TWO
IF SUB-CONTRACTOR ARE USED. PLEASE ASK THE CONTRACTOR TO PROVIDE INFORMATION ABOUT THAT SUBCONTRACTOR'S EXPERIENCE AND LICENSURE, IF NOT INCLUDED ON OUR INFORMATION THAT WAS PROVIDED TO YOU ABOUT THE CONTRACTOR.  PLEASE CONTACT IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS.
                                       
STEP THREE
PLEASE MAKE SURE EVERYTHING IS IN WRITING AND ALSO ANY CHANGE MADE DURING THE PROJECT. PLEASE PUT THIS IN WRITING. THIS FORM WILL BE PROVIDE  FOR A FEE OF $10.00.

STEP FOUR
BEFORE AND AFTER PHOTO OF THEIR WORK CAN BE PROVIDED TO YOU IF YOU HAVE A EMAIL. IF NOT THE LOCATION OF THE JOB AND CONTACT PERSON FOR THAT PROJECT WILL BE PROVIDED.  IT IS IMPORTANT TO GO THE SEE THE WORKMANSHIP OF YOUR CONTRACTOR.

STEP FIVE
Add a payment schedule based on work completed to your agreement. Don’t make payments ahead of schedule or before work is completed according to YOUR AGREEMENT

STEP SIX
MAKE SURE YOUR KEEP A FILE WITH A THE PAPERWORK AND RECEIPTS FOR ALL PAYMENTS.

STEP SEVEN
NEVER PAY IN CASH. BE CAUTIOUS IF ASK TO PAY LARGE AMOUNTS UPFRONT OR PAY IN FULL PRIOR TO COMMENCEMENT OF PROJECT.

STEP EIGHT
INSPECT THE PROJECT  OR HIRE SOMEONE QUALIFIED TO INSPECT THE PROJECT. BE SURE TO INCLUDE THIS IN YOUR PROJECT BUDGET.

Scope Of Work  Promises
  • Provide customers with services and products known to promote energy efficiency, while protecting health and safety.
  • Maintain in good standing all appropriate and necessary licenses and insurance.
  • Comply with all laws and regulations of their jurisdiction and of their industry.
  • Maintain a safe work place for their customers and their workers.
  • Communicate fairly and accurately with their customers with respect to the scope and quality of their work agreements.
  • Answer fully all customer concerns before, during and after the work of their contract and to act promptly on all customer complaints.
  • Deal fairly and honestly with their customers.


Representations Of Services And Fees
  • All representation regarding services and qualifications contractors shall be truthful and accurate in all material respects.
  • Contractors shall fully disclose all applicable charges, as well as the general scope and deliverables of services, prior to conducting  work.



Professional Conduct
  • Contractors shall refrain from speaking to others in a manner that will diminish the profession or service.
  • Contractors shall not engage in any conduct that is detrimental to the reputation or the best interests of Access Community Realty Vendor Connection.
